Your Chance to Own Strips Drawn by the Creator of Calvin and Hobbes

The three comic strips that I drew with Calvin and Hobbes’ creator Bill Watterson are now being auctioned off for Parkinson’s research.

To see all three strips (and bid on them if you want), just go here:

  1. What a truely inspiring thing to do. Already priced out of my league, but I will make a contribution to the local Parkinson’s association in tribute.

  2. “Excuse me, Mr. Gates? Can I borrow the daily interest on one of your smaller accounts for a short while?”

  3. Reblogged this on "DESTROY ALL FANBOYS!" and commented:
Yikes. These auctions are too rich for my blood already, but if I did have that kind of scratch lying around (somewhere, a cat I don’t own is GLARING at a monitor, phone or tablet screen), I’d buy all three strips just to support that worthy cause.

Anyway, read on for details on how to score some nice NEW(ish) Watterson (and Pastis!) artwork and if you DO bid, GOOD LUCK!

  4. Most excellent! Thank you to both of you!!! I think that this is freaking fantastic!

  6. Impressive bids that are only bound to go higher and higher as they leave me and my wallet way behind on their way to helping the cause. Plus, I don’t mind re-reading the pixels as they gather e-dust down the road. The collaboration itself is a lifetime memory. Thanks again.

  7. Always look forward to seeing your strip in the am. Our whole family got a kick out of the Dolphin series you did a couple years back. Right after a cruise stop in Mexico where we went for a “once in a lifetime” sweem wid de Dolpheenz. I spooked the one and took after my wife. Cut her foot a little. We still have the strip on our fridges. Love your work!

  8. Ok. I was just wanting to tell you how funny your strip was today, 9/10/2014 in the Dallas Morning News, originally. But then I read your blog from July 19th and now I want to tell you how much I enjoyed it also. Thanks for the smiles. Leesa H.

  9. Hello I am so glad I found your blog, I really found you by mistake, while I was browsing on Yahoo for something else, Nonetheless
I am here now and would just like to say thanks a lot
for a remarkable post and a all round enjoyable blog (I also love the theme/design), I don’t have time
to browse it all at the moment but I have saved it and also added your RSS feeds, so when I
have time I will be back to read much more, Please do keep up the
    superb work.

  10. Please advise Watterson that he is missed and a donation may come forward once Calvin and Hobbes are resurrected!! Date: Tue, 24 Feb 2015 23:14:12 +0000 To:
