The Critics Are After Me

I don’t normally like to discuss people who criticize me and my work, because I think it gives them an unnecessary amount of attention, which is what most of these curmudgeonly loons crave.

But in this case, I’ve had some pretty harsh things said about me, and I thought I’d show it to you.

  1. And I thought the comics was the one place I could go to get away from you political nut-jobs…sigh..

  2. Wow!
I knew that guy was a nut job, but wow!
And that guy who said Jesus wrote the constitution is obviously VERY misinformed.
    (i.e. STUPID)

  3. Oh, Ha Ha.
It’s a joke, they have them for other people too.
I hope you realize that I will stop liking until further notice.

Done. That was really funny though.

  4. To be really honest, I was shocked for one second there. The most hilarious thing seen in a long time.

  5. Fortunately, Glenn Beck has so much more integrity than those that would mock him.

  6. I LOVE IT!!!!!! ( and to think it was ME who put Scranton, PA. on the map!! πŸ™‚

  7. So I did get it right, that guy really says “Jesus wrote the Constitution”…facepalm.jpg

  8. β€œI Never Realized Stephan Was A Socialist Commie Fascist”

Man, I knew you had problems…

I’m glad you’ve finally been exposed for the COMIC GENIUS you are.

  9. So what was the actual news article that got edited for this? Considering the look of some of it appears to have been done after the fact while other elements point towards a particular story arc (like the Croc’s fear of “the Google”) I find it quite hard to believe this is anything more than a joke.

  10. You have totally ruined my productivity this morning! I’ve watched this a dozen or more times now and it gets funnier every time. Now I’ve got to share with all my friends. Does that make me a Socialist?

  11. You’re not alone Stephan, I had someone send me this with my name as an Arch-conspirator too. LOL too funny and the video is very well done and will embed whose ever name you want in there.

  12. I howled. That was the funniest thing that I’ve read in a long while.

    Sad but true πŸ™‚

…I’m laughing even more now πŸ™‚

That was seriously funny, really. Great stuff, I doubt that “biting” or “cutting” would be adequate to describe it πŸ™‚ brutal

  13. …; how ridiculous. I think it’s funny that everyone who hasn’t been to a tea party has some preconceived notion that everyone there is an idiot (“Jesus wrote the constitution…”), when they are the ones who can actually name US presidents, and tell you what they did. Pretty funny though; I know that Glenn Beck has a good enough sense of humor that he laughed, too.

  14. This was hilarious! Each time I watch it I find more hilariousness in all the little nuances! Loved it!!!

  15. Laughed so hard I cried !(Just like le bebe homme !)!
Thanks for the link – now I know what a huge threat I am to the US !

  17. OH MY GOD THAT’S HILARIOUS. “he uses google the most used search engine by terrorists” That is just funny

  18. ok, so first of all, this video is obviously fake. it says at the bottom of the page, “Don’t worry: This video and site are fictional and satirical.” anyone who didnt realize that is pretty gullible.
and second of all, im sorry stephan, but this video is not about you. the title of the video says, “Glenn Beck Attacks Stephan Pastis,” but dude, the video is all about Stephen Colbert. Sorry you’re not that famous.

  19. That was too funny. Thanks Steph, as ususal.

But Elaine, you DO know that Glenn gets a pay check, right? This is a BUSINESS to him. And to Sarah, and Rush and Bill (and Keith and Rachel, etc.). Do you get it? The difference is that the right wingers pretend that they are doing it to protect you and me and the Constitution. They’re doing it for the PAY CHECK. It’s an act. Pretty entertaining if you ignore the end results.

  20. I’m wondering if I got the same link as everyone else. It didn’t say anything about Stephan Pastis.
I seemed to have gotten the personalized link instead.
It was funny. The newscast alleged that I am a communist and therefore hate puppies, while they displayed my Facebook picture, in which I’m posing with my puppy.

  21. oh man, please, please tell me that was fake! πŸ˜€ actually, the reason I started reading your comic was that you were the ONLY strip in the Oregonian that DIDN’T talk about the election . . . I was having a tough time being railed against by people of the opposite party. I COULDN’T SURVIVE IF YOU WERE IN NORTH KOREA!!! πŸ˜€ hahahahhaa.

  22. Guys, you really took this seriously??? It’s a SPOOF!!! I’m in shock that anyone believed that.

    However, it was hilarious.

  23. Holy Crap! This was hilarious! I actually sometimes agree with Glenn Beck perspective (although he often exaggerates, blows things out of proportion, etc.), but this was the funniest link I’ve seen in a long while.
